Volunteering
Through Sewa Volunteering, I’ve concentrated on hunger relief, healthcare support, and advancing community welfare. My goal is to empower underserved communities to achieve lasting well‑being through sustainable, compassionate initiatives.

Food Donation Camp
I volunteered with a group to donate food to a charity. We collected items like rice, beans, meat, and other foods and packed them in to individual boxes and delivered it to the charity to help families in need.
It felt great knowing that our donations would help less fortunate people enjoy meals. This was a rewarding experience, and I’m proud to have been part of such an important cause.

Candy Donation to the Army
I got the opportunity to volunteer in an initiative to donate 500 lbs of candy to the army. The objective was to bring joy to the soldiers who are far from home protecting our country. It felt great to be part of something that showed them appreciation and gave them a little treat during tough times. It was a simple way to make a difference, and it reminded me how important it is to give back and help others. I'm fortunate to have been able to do this and support those who serve us.

California Fires
I’m helping out at a chess tournament that is raising money for people affected by the California wildfires. The fires have destroyed many homes and hurt a lot of communities. This event is a way to support them. As a volunteer, I help set things up, organize the games, and make sure everything runs well. It feels good to be part of something that helps others. The money we raise will go toward helping families rebuild their homes and lives.

JRA
The Jewish Relief Agency (JRA) is a group that helps people in need. Volunteers of all ages help pack and deliver boxes of food and other supplies to families who don’t have enough. These boxes include things like canned food, fresh fruits and vegetables, diapers, and school supplies. JRA wants to make sure that everyone has the things they need to live a better life. It’s based on a Jewish value called tikkun olam, which means helping to make the world a better place.

Dental Care for the Un-insured
There are about 68M people in the United States who do not have dental insurance. I participated in a camp where we helped medical professionals provide basic dental care. Patients got basic dental checkup, along with free brushes and fruits. I helped build and manage the tent in the camp. I loved the experience because this was my first exposure to such a medical camp.

Air Force air show
I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Power In The Pines Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Open House and Air Show 2025. This biannual event is held to engage the community, showcase military capabilities, and honor service members. As a volunteer at the information booths, I was able to interact with many Air Force personnel and hear about their experiences firsthand. It was a humbling and inspiring experience that deepened my appreciation for those who serve.
